The Pearl Kraken

The Kraken embodies the mysteries of the ocean, representing the often terrifying mysteries of the natural world that lie beneath the surface. The ocean's rhythmic sigh, speaks of life and death, of creation and destruction, echoing the eternal heartbeat of the Earth itself. This is my largest body of work to date. Featuring 22k gold detailing and faux white pearls.

Each piece is personally handcrafted and one of a kind. Sizes vary, and imperfections are likely to be present because of the handmade nature of the piece. Each piece is wheel thrown, trimmed, assembled, fired, glazed, fired, lustred (if gold is present), and fired again. The process takes a month to two months to complete.
